Meet Kristi (and Xuba!)

Kristi leads the pack at Big Woof! Adventures. Their dog walking career started as a part-time gig a decade ago while they studied Mechanical Engineering in Hoboken, New Jersey. After a three-year stint as an HVAC Designer in San Francisco, Kristi parted with their desk job and took back to the trails as a Group Walker and In-Field Coordinator at one of the East Bay’s premier pet care businesses.

Kristi’s experience with dog walking is uniquely extensive due to their In-Field Coordinator role. They have worked with upwards of 100 East Bay dogs, trained dozens of dog walkers, and they routinely support other dog walkers when challenges arise in the field.

When Kristi kicks off their hiking boots they enjoy playing with synthesizers, karaoke, running projections at concerts, cooking, and cuddling with their hairless pooch, Xuba.

Xuba (pronounced “Shooba”) is Kristi’s tiny-but-mighty canine companion, coworker, and mascot at Big Woof. He is a pal to dozens of East Bay dogs and has proven to be an incredibly versatile pup. Xuba is a great social anchor for all sorts of dogs, providing a grounding and relaxed presence for those that are more shy, yet quick to engage in a game of chase with dogs of any size.

Humans love Xuba for his mohawk and all the funny sounds he makes.
